DHAKA: Popular singer Mila Islam’s conjugal life wasn’t going well, though she earlier was rejecting the fact repeatedly to the media terming it ‘just rumor’.

Finally the popular fusion & folk artist admitted her spousal straits she had been going through. Mila herself has now come up with the announcement to leave her husband soon.

“Yes, I am getting a divorce. We got married after 10 years of relationship but only 13 days after our marriage, I got to know about his affairs with more than one woman”, Mila wrote in her Facebook post Saturday (October 7).

Meanwhile, Parvez Sanjari, the husband, was sent to jail in the case filed against him under the Women & Children Repression Prevention Act 2000.

Regarding the separation, Mila said in the lengthy Facebook status, “He was continuously cheating on me while we were dating (before marriage) and he continued to cheat even after our marriage (by continuing affairs with multiple women).”

However, Mila tied the knot with Parvez Sanjari, a pilot working at a prestigious airlines in Dhaka, in May this year.

Blaming the husband’s immoral affairs, she wrote further, “No one deserves someone who can do this to his newlywed wife.”

She also accused Parvez of torturing her mentally and physically.

“Not only was I taking mental abuse from him, I was also a victim of physical abuse from time to time and finally I had enough and I realized I could no longer be a victim especially where so many young girls look up me as a role model.”

However, the artist claimed she tried to save the marriage even after having proof of her husband’s betrayal, but failed the endurance.

She also accused Parvez of denying the marriage too.

Mila filed the case with Uttara West Police Station Thursday night (October 5).

Parvez was sent to jail following legal procedure Friday (October 6), said Uttara West Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Aminul Islam also probe officer of the case.
