Six more new dengue cases were reported in the 24 hours leading up to Saturday (Feb 15) morning, bringing the total number of cases to 1,385 this year.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), of the new cases, one was detected in Dhaka South City Corporation, while the remaining five were reported from areas outside the city corporation in Chattogram Division.
The death toll from dengue remains at 12, with no new fatalities recorded during this period, the DGHS confirmed.
Currently, 90 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives in Bangladesh, with 101,214 reported cases and 100,040 recoveries, according to the DGHS.
