Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its report on Friday (March 14) said in the last 24 hours, 10 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh.
The patients were admitted from various regions, with six from the Chattogram Division (outside the city corporation), three from Dhaka North City Corporation, and one from Dhaka South City Corporation.
As of March 14, a total of 1,706 people have been hospitalized with dengue this year, with 61.9% of cases involving men and 38.1% involving women.
Meanwhile, 10 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 1,605. No new dengue-related deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, but 13 deaths have occurred this year so far.
In 2024, a total of 101,214 people were hospitalized with dengue, and 575 deaths were recorded. In 2023, 1,705 people died from dengue, with 321,179 admissions.
