A total of 48 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 23 were reported in Barishal, followed by five each in Chattogram and Dhaka divisions, four in both Dhaka North and South City Corporations, four in Sylhet, two in Khulna, and one in Rangpur.

With the latest figures, the total number of dengue cases in the country this year has risen to 3,116. 

So far, 21 people have died of dengue in 2025. Meanwhile, 46 patients were released after treatment during the same period.

Last year, the country recorded over 101,000 cases and 575 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease.
