DHAKA: The first round of national campaign to feed Vitamin A-plus capsule to children aged between six months and five years got underway across the country on Saturday (July 16).

The vaccination has been arranged at 1.40 lakhs centers across the country with the view to prevent childhood blindness and reduce child mortality and strengthen immunity.

The campaign has begun at 8:00am and will remain open till 4:00pm.

Besides, authorities have opened over 20,000 temporary centers at bus, rail and launch stations and ferry-ghats.

This year vitamin ‘A’ capsules were brought from Copenhagen.
