DHAKA: One of the leading pharmaceutical companies GlaxoSmithKline announced to close production in its factory in Bangladesh, said a press release issued on Thursday (July 26). 

However, the company stated to keep producing its other consumer products here.

The directorial board of the company reached the decision recently, said the release signed by GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Head of Communications Rumana Ahmed.

GlaxoSmithKline operated pharmaceutical production in their factory in Chittagong over the last fifty years.
