Medical technologists’ human chain with 5-point demands

DHAKA: Medical technologists under the banner of Baker and Private Services Medical Technologist Association (BPSMTA) formed a human chain in Dhaka to press home their five-point demands.

The human chain was formed in front of Jatiya Press Club Saturday (May 11).

The association's president Md Shafiqul Islam addressed the human chain.

The demands include appointing medical technologists to government jobs, creating new posts, implementing a "one umbrella concept" in light of the Inter-Ministerial Committee's report and the Supreme Court's directives, amendment to Non-Medical Employee Recruitment Rules 2018 and taking the medical technologists to 10th grade, formation of a diploma medical education board and keeping the four-year medical technology course effective.
