GOPALGANJ: The number of patients infected with dengue fever has gone over 200 in Gopalganj district.

With an inclusion of 23 new patients in the last 48 hours, the number now stands at 211 in total.

A total of 35 dengue patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals including Gopalganj 25-bed General Hospital.

As many as 211 dengue patients have been detected in the district till 12 pm on Friday (August 15). A total of 176 patients returned home after receiving treatment, Gopalganj’s Civil Surgeon Dr. Tarun Mandal told Banglanews.

Health Department is working to combat dengue situation, he added.
