Bangladesh today confirmed 25 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 7,781. 

According to the Health authorities, 1,071 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 522,453.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

As 737 patients have recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recoveries reached 466,801, it also said.

A total of 3,357,319 samples have been tested so far with 12,920 samples tested in 181 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country in last 24 hours, the release added. 

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 while first death on March 18 in last year.
