With 12,059 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, India has reported a total of 1,08,26,363 cases so far.
11,805 discharges and 78 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours taking the total discharges and death toll to 1,05,22,601 and 1,54,996 respectively.
A total of 20,19,00,614 samples tested for Covid-19 up to 7th February. Of these, 5,32,236 samples were tested yesterday: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
With the addition of 265 new cases of coronavirus, the infection count in Maharashtra's Thane district has gone up to 2,55,749, an official said on Monday. These new cases were reported on Sunday.
Four more deaths due to COVID-19 were also recorded, raising the toll in the district to 6,183, he said.
The total number of global coronavirus cases has topped 106 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 2.31 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
In its latest update on Monday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 106,056,229 and 2,315,156, respectively.
