2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccination begins April 7

Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Tuesday said that the second dose of Covid-19 vaccination will be administered from April 7.

He said to reporters after a meeting at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Affairs.

The health minister said as many as 23.80 lakh people have been inoculated so far as 20 lakh more vaccines had arrived in country yesterday.  

Zahid also said that even after getting a double dose, countrymen will have to show a Covid negative certificate to visit abroad.

With the arrival of the second shipment of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines, Bangladesh has acquired a total of 90 lakh doses of the vaccine till now. 

Bangladesh began its nationwide vaccination efforts on February 7.
