Dengue: 79 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 79 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Monday morning (August 7), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 59 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, twenty dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 286 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 74 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 3,263 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 2,888 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, fifteen died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till August 6 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
