Dengue: 145 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 145 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Friday morning (Sep 9), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 140 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, five dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 770 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 163 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 8,096 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 7,132 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 31 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
