Dengue: Four die, 345 hospitalised in last 24 hours

Four persons died from dengue and 345 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Monday (Sep 12).

The Directorate General for Health Services (DGHS) today issued a release on the country's Dengue situation.

In the 24 hours, 228 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 117 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 853 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 259 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 9,095 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 7,946 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 37 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till Today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
