KOLKATA: Bihar is the most economically backward state of India, where people hardly have enough to spare much, let alone go lavish spending on luxuries.

But, the estimate of total fuel costs by the ministers of the eastern Indian state in last 19 months came as a complete surprise.

Fourteen ministers have spent Rs 47.34 lakh during the period. Of them, Tourism Minister of the State Ram Probesh Roy alone spent Rs 33 lakh.

State President of Rashtriya Janata Dal Abdul Bari Siddiqui spilled the beans.

Making a fun, Bari Siddiqui said, “It seems, tourism of Ram Probesh is going well. If he can spend such a huge amount of money, then the tourism industry of Bihar will certainly be widening quickly.”
