LONDON: "Bangladesh Freedom Honour" recipient British-Irish national Nora Sharif, known as friend of Bangladesh, passed away on Friday night (UK time).

She breathed her last at her London residence around 1:00pm. She was 70.

Nora Sharif, wife of president of UK unit Awami League Sultan Sharif, had been suffering form cancer for long.

She is survived by her husband, only daughter, relatives and a host of admirers and friends.  Survive

Bangladesh government honored her with award of “Friend of Liberation War Honour’ in last year.
