DHAKA: The Western countries are beginning to realise the importance of Iran’s participation in the international conference on Syria, known as Geneva-2.

Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said, the Voice of Russia reports.

‘In my contacts with my Western counterparts and those from the countries of the Middle East and Northern Africa, I am beginning to feel their growing understanding of the importance of inviting all key players, including Iran,’ Lavrov said at a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday.
