DHAKA: In a virtual re-run of the infamous Park Street rape case 20 months back, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a taxi in an upscale area of the city.

Police said on Monday, reports NDTV.

The 13-year-old girl, whose family lives on a pavement, was alleged to have been dragged inside the cab and raped on Sunday night in the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, close to Park Street.

One person has been arrested in connection with the incident, while a manhunt was on to nab the taxi driver and an accomplice.

In February 2012, an Anglo-Indian woman was allegedly raped by a group of youths who befriended her in a night club in the area.

The sensational crime shocked the city, and the case continues to be heard in court. But the prime suspect is still at large.
