KOLKATA : Suchitra Sen, the super heroin of the Bengali filmdom, has been admitted to the Bellevue Hospital in a critical condition.

Clinic sources said the legendary film star, whose films ran through 1960s and 1970s, was admitted to the hospital eight days ago with critical lungs infection. She is undergoing treatment in the ICU.

She previously received treatment for the same disease.

The octogenarian film star was first given treatment at her house. She was later taken to the Bellevue Hospital as her condition deteriorated.

Newsmen are not being allowed to see her.
