Kejriwal finally resigns

DHAKA: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation on Friday night to protest the blocking of an anti-corruption bill, less than 50 days after taking office in the Indian capital, reports Straitestimes.

"My cabinet has decided that we are quitting," Mr Kejriwal told supporters of his Aam Aadmi (Common Man) Party at a rally in the captial.

"Here is my resignation letter," he added, brandishing a white sheet of paper as his followers cheered.
