DHAKA: Three Bangladeshi expatriate workers were killed in a fire incident at a workers’ hostel in Makharka area under the capital Manama of Bahrain on early Friday.      

Two of the deceased were identified as Mosharraf Hossain and Abu Jalal.

The identity of another deceased could not be known immediately.

The Home Ministry sources of Bahrain said that the fire originated at the first floor of the two-storied building around 2:38am. The fire smoke filled the building area very rapidly as a result the victims suffocated to death.

The fire might be originated for lack of security reason, sources added.

Director General of External Affairs and Subsection of the Foreign Ministry Shamim Ahsan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
