US and Russian officials are holding peace talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aimed at establishing a 30-day partial ceasefire in Ukraine. 

These discussions come shortly after productive talks between Ukrainian and US delegations, focused on the ongoing conflict.

The talks between the US and Russia seek to halt long-range attacks on energy facilities and civilian infrastructure, as well as a pause in assaults in the Black Sea. The goal is to agree on a "light ceasefire."

Despite these diplomatic efforts, the fighting continues. Russia launched 99 attack drones on Ukraine overnight, and a recent drone strike on Kyiv killed three people, including a child. 

In response, Ukraine claimed to have destroyed four Russian military helicopters and reported that 28 of its drones were intercepted by Russian forces overnight.

As the negotiations continue, both sides remain engaged in combat, with accusations of ongoing drone attacks from both Ukraine and Russia.
