DHAKA: The second passenger who boarded Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 with a stolen passport was also an Iranian.
Interpol said in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, reports The Straits Times
Interpol asked the media and the public to confirm if it was 29-year-old Delavar Seyed Mohammad Madreza.
It also said the two imposters got into Malaysia using Iranian passports, but went onto the Malaysia Airlines flight using stolen Austrian and Italian passports.
It also said the focus at the moment should be on investigating the disappearance of the flight and ensuring flight security worldwide.
The head of international police agency Interpol also said he did not believe the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines plane at the weekend was a terrorist incident.
‘The more information we get, the more we are inclined to conclude it is not a terrorist incident,’ said Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble.
Earlier Malaysian authorities revealed that one of the two passengers was 19-year-old Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad.
