DHAKA: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), widely tipped to form the next government, Monday released its election manifesto in which it said the party will encourage foreign direct investment but appeared to close the door to global retailers eyeing the country.
This comes 10 days after the ruling Congress released its election document, promising a slew of pro-poor measures seeking to return to power.
