DHAKA: The Land Down Under cheered as the United Kingdom’s royal couple Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and their adorable baby Prince George arrived on Wednesday.
After a rather wet and gloomy last day in New Zealand where Kate was seen boarding the plane with a blue skirt suit, the duchess arrived in sunny Australia with a dress that made the day even brighter.
Catherine emerged from the plane in a yellow dress London-based Serbian fashion designer Roksanda Ilinčić.
The royal couple greeted well-wishers in front of the Sydney Opera House, watched an Aboriginal welcome performance, and were presented with cricket bats as they stood near the Cricket World Cup trophy.
Prince George had his share of fun when he was given a toy wombat by Australia’s Governor-General Peter Cosgrove (second left) at Admiralty House in Sydney.
Part of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s second day in Australia was spent at the Blue Mountains, where they met with victims and responders from last year’s bushfires in the area.
For this event, Kate was seen wearing a patterned wrap dress by Diane Von Furstenberg.
According to News.com.au, the dress is already sold out, reports The Straits Times.
