32 bodies found, missing more than 300

DHAKA: Death toll climbs to 32 in South Korea ferry tragedy till Saturday noon that sank 3 days ago, though the captain of the ferry said ‘sorry’ to the people of South Korea.

CNN publishes this report on Thursday.

It said that Coast guard spokesman Kim Jae-in say they`ve found four more bodies from the sinking ferry at Saturda area.

Officials added that strong currents and rain have made it difficult to get inside the ferry, where most of the passengers are believed to have been trapped.

However, the updated death toll follows the arrest Saturday of the captain of the ferry on suspicion of negligence and abandoning people in need.

Lee Joon-seok, 69, the captain of the ferry said ‘Sorry’ to the people of South Korea in this incident while more than 300 are missing or dead.

Prosecutors say the captain was arrested along with the third mate, a 25-year-old woman identified only by her surname, Park, and 55-year-old helmsman Cho Joon-ki.
