DHAKA: National Democratic Alliance (NDA), where Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the key player, secured a landslide victory in India’s national Lok Sabha polls.

The NDA won 337 seats out of 543 while ruling Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) won 58 seats.

The rest 144 seats went to different alliances and parties, including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with 4 seats.

Earlier, exit polls showed that Narendra Modi’s BJP as well as his alliance would win the election and Modi would likely be the next prime minister of India.
