DHAKA: Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima on Wednesday called upon the country’s businessmen to extend trade to the Eastern countries.
The envoy said, “The businesspeople of Bangladesh are extending their trades to the western countries including the American and the European states, which had not been seen in Eastern countries.”
“There remains huge potentiality for business in the East. So, they (traders) should look to the East now, which requires changes in mentality,” he added.
Shiro made the call when addressing the ‘DCAB Talk’ organized by the Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) at the National Press Club in the city.
On the country’s various emerging sectors, Shiro said, “Bangladesh has huge potentiality not only on the ready made garment sector but also on many other sectors.”
