Modi takes oath as India’s 15th PM

DHAKA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Damodardas Modi, 63, took oath as the 15th Prime Minister of India at the biggest-ever swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

He took oath along with 45 ministers, including key leaders Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj and former army chief VK Singh, sources said, reports Hindustan Times.

Dressed in a white full sleeve kurta, a beige waistcoat and a white pajama Modi arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan for the event around 6:00pm (local time).

The list of ministers has been dispatched to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
