DHAKA: India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj will visit Dhaka on June 26.
Bangladesh foreign ministry informed media on Thursday.
She will stay in Dhaka for one day and will bring a letter from India’s newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Indian minister will come to invite Bangladesh premier to visit India.
This 62-year-old Indian politician is the second woman external affairs minister in India, first being the late Indira Gandhi.
Sushma has been elected for seven times as a Member of Parliament and three times as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
At the age of 25, she became Haryana's youngest Cabinet Minister and has also served as Chief Minister of Delhi.
In Indian general election-2014, she won from Vidisha constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
