DHAKA: Thailand’s former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s wealth increased by some 33 million baht while she was in office, according to the country’s anti-graft agency.

Yingluck was richer by the time she was forced to step down, but other ministers in her Cabinet got poorer, the body said, reports The Straits Times.

As of May 7 when she was disqualified from office following a ruling by the Constitutional Court, Ms Yingluck had assets worth 601 million baht and 28 million baht in debt.

Her son Supasek Amornchat had assets worth 1.3 million baht.
