KUALA LUMPUR: Several hundreds of Bangladeshi students have been facing embarrassing situation being allured of ‘part time’ job facilities.

Recently a number of Bangladeshi students have raised this allegation.

A Bangladeshi student Saklain (not real name) of Kalayanpur, Dhaka has come to Malaysia in last January for higher study.

He came through an education consultant after it was advertised in the news paper.

The education consultant gave assurance that in Malaysia handsome income is available by doing part time job alongside prosecuting study. His parents sent him abroad after making a huge loan.  

He is doing part time job but he can meet hardly both ends- the expenses for study and a very little savings after making own personal expenditure of boarding and lodging.

On the other hand, there is no satisfaction in job. After attending job a little time remains for own study bringing tiredness and nausea. 

His results in first semester were not good at all. Then there is no alternative to do job. He is in horns of dilemma because he cannot tell his parents about this suffering. 

Saklain has come here after spending huge sum of money to change his lot. At Dhaka his parents know that he is passing a fairly life.

Not only Saklain many are passing their days in this sort of agony. 

Students of middle class families’ are the worst victim. During student life there is no full time job in Malaysia. Part time jobs are available in restaurants and in shopping malls. But they are to work for eight hours in the name part time job. In exchange they get a monthly wage of 1200-1500 Ringgits (1 Ringgit = Taka 24 BDT).

Boarding, lodging and conveyance cost 500-700 Ringgits while the expense at university is minimum 600-700 Ringgits. Then where is the savings and most of time the students cannot continue studies due to pressure of the part time work. It keeps them from attending classes.

However there is scope of job here but it is for the doctor, engineer and skilled man power. Rest some involved themselves in business.

So it is better to give a second thought for coming over here in greed of part time job.

Firstly, you collect detailed information about the organization where you want to study. Obtain the opinions of the ex-students. It is not difficult now in the age Google and Face Book to collect the information. 

Not knowing the correct information please don’t jump into uncertainty. It is not the reality what you feel here in your country.

We don’t want to hear the tragic tale of another Saklain’s hope being dashed down and even we don’t want to create opportunities of creating another Saklain.
