DHAKA: A couple was shot dead in an alleged case of honour killing in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Both the boy and the girl lived in Chakwal city with their families, and fell in love, but the elders of the families refused to consent to their marriage.

Dawn online reported on Sunday, says gulfnews.com.

Police said the couple eloped on July 9 and got married in a court after which the woman’s family registered a kidnapping case with the city police station on July 12.
