DUBAI: The holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the two main religious festivals of Islam, was celebrated in Arab Emirates on Friday.
Thousands of Bangladeshi expatriates observed the largest festival with religious zeal and fervor.
The Bangladeshis kept busy themselves by enjoying the festival through exchanging greetings, feast and visiting tourist spots.
Besides, Bangladeshis owned business establishments offered sacrifice animals for their workers to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.
Eid al-Adha, or the "Feast of the Sacrifice", is one of the biggest events in the Muslim calendar, marking Ibram’s willingness to sacrifice his own son as an act of obedience to God. At the last minute, God intervened, and gave Ibrahim a ram to sacrifice instead.
