Modi’s new Ministers

DHAKA:  Portfolios have been allocated to the new ministers in India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Council of ministers, who were sworn-in on Sunday.

According to a NDTV report, these are the ministries allocated to them:

Manohar Parrikar gets Defence, Suresh Prabhu gets Railways, Jagat Prakash Nadda appointed as minister of Health & Family Welfare, Chaudhary Birender Singh gets Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy appointed to Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), Parliamentary Affairs; Bandaru Dattatreya appointed to Labour and Employment (Independent Charge) and Dr. Mahesh Sharma was appointed to Culture (Independent Charge), Tourism (Independent Charge), Civil Aviation as Ministers of State with Independent Charge.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was appointed to Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs; Ram Kripal Yadav to Drinking Water & Sanitation; Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary to Home Affairs; Sanwar Lal Jat to Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation while Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya to Agriculture; Giriraj Singh to Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises; Hansraj Gangaram Ahir to Chemicals & Fertilizers; Prof. (Dr.) Ram Shankar Katheria to Human Resource Development; YS Chowdary to Science and Technology, Earth Science; Jayant Sinha to Finance; Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore to Information & Broadcasting; Babul Supriyo to Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation; Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti to Food Processing Industries and Vijay Sampla was appointed to Social Justice & Empowerment as Ministers of State.
