DHAKA: A Kenyan plane has come down near the Somali town of Kismayo on Thursday.

The defense officials informed this which reposts Al Jazeera.

There are reports that the pilot is dead and two of the crews are missing.

Kenyan defense forces said in a statement that the jet had developed technical problems after carrying out airstrikes in the southern part of Somalia at around 3:15pm (local time).

But she added that a spokesperson from Somalia’s armed group al-Shabab told Al Jazeera that the group had shot down the fighter jet.
