DHAKA: Indian Union Minister Babul Supriyo’s driver’s body was found in his official Ambassador car at Udyog Bhawan.

The body was discovered Thursday morning by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer.

In what could be said to be a major security lapse, the body was undetected by security agencies for more than 12 hours, reports Z news.

The man was identified as Vinod Khanduri and had been working for the minister for some months.

He supposedly stayed with his family in Laxmi Nagar.

The driver’s family had approached the police on Tuesday evening as he was not taking their calls on his mobile and registered a case at Tughlaq Road police station of New Delhi district.

Though the post-mortem report is yet to come, which will reveal the exact cause of his death, certain reports said that as of now prima facie it appeared to be a case of natural death.

Supriyo, who is BJP MP from West Bengal, is Union Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo.
