5.0-magnitdute quake jolts Nepal

DHAKA: An earthquake with magnitude 5.0 occurred near Pokhara, 93 kilometres North West of Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal on Saturday, said the United States Geological Survey.

The tremor was 10-kilometer deep that felt at 11:35:46am Bangladesh time, USGS added.

The 7.8-magnitude quake wreaked a trail of death and destruction when it erupted around midday last Saturday, reducing much of Kathmandu to rubble and even triggering a deadly avalanche on Mount Everest.

The death toll after Saturday's massive quake has reached 6621 as of Saturday morning
