DHAKA: More than 40 people have been killed and dozens injured in a gun attack on a bus carrying Shia Muslims in Karachi.

Police said attackers on motorcycles stopped the bus and fired at passengers indiscriminately.

‘At least six gunmen attacked a bus in the Safoora Goth area,’ a senior police official told the media, reports the BBC.

Pakistan’s Shia minority are the target of frequent sectarian attacks from Sunni militant groups.
