DHAKA: A northern California wildfire has more than doubled in size since Monday despite cooler temperatures and higher humidity.

The Jerusalem Valley fire erupted on Sunday near the community of Lower Lake, reports bbc.com.

It has burned nearly 19 square miles, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

One thousand homes have been evacuated near the California and Arizona border.
