DHAKA: Despite denials from Iran, Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas confirmed that he will be visiting Tehran for the first time since 2012.
Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of Polish journalists in Ramallah, Abbas on Sunday said, ‘There will be a visit to Iran, but no date has been set’, reports The Jerusalem Post.
Abbas said that Iran ‘is a neighboring, sister country. Our relations with it were not good, but we have an embassy in Tehran, and therefore it recognizes us’.
