DHAKA: Two people in Afghan military uniforms opened fire on a vehicle killing two Nato soldiers in Afghanistan.

Their nationalities are not known immediately, the BBC reports.

The incident occurred early on Wednesday in Helmand province. Soldiers returned fire killing the attackers, a coalition spokesperson said.

So-called ‘green on blue’ incidents, when Afghan soldiers or police open fire on foreign troops, are an ongoing problem for the Nato operation.
