DHAKA: Israeli police reported two suspected terror attacks took place at separate locations in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning.
A stabbing and shooting attack took place aboard a bus in the capital’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, reports The Jerusalem Post.
According to police two terrorists carried out the attack. Police forces, which arrived on the scene, neutralized both suspects.
MDA paramedics said that two attackers got on an Egged line 78 bus in Armon Hanatziv and fired weapons. Paramedics pronounced one person dead on the scene, an approximately 60-year-old man.
Four additional people were transported to hospital, one seriously wounded and three moderately wounded, likely with gunshot wounds.
Police said that 16 people in total were wounded in the attack
One of the attackers was killed and a second was wounded and was being treated by paramedics, MDA added.
In a separate attack on Malkei Israel Street in the capital, police said that a driver rammed his car into a bus stop, got out of his car and began stabbing pedestrians.
Police said that they neutralized the attacker.
MDA paramedics pronounced one person dead on the scene and treated another person who suffered light injuries.
Police said that three people were wounded in the attack.
