At least three to four security guards are injured, an eye-witness who managed to come out of the premises said. The Associated Press quotes police as saying gunmen killed a professor, student in the attack.

Sources told news channel Geo TV ‘terrorists’ had entered the university around 09:30 local time (04:30 GMT).

Police have surrounded the campus, where staff and students are being evacuated.
