DHAKA: Authorities of Saudi Arabia detained 33 terror suspects including nine US citizens during the past four days.
The others include 14 Saudis, three Yemenis, two Syrians, an Indonesian, a Filipino, an Emirati, a Kazakhstan national and a Palestinian, reports the saudigazette.com.
Meanwhile, Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh, who is also the chairman of the Senior Ulema Commission and Religious Research and Ifta Department, condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted worshipers during Friday public prayer at a mosque in Al-Ahsa.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, he said what happened in the mosque is part of a criminal plot to spread sedition, mischief on earth and terror in the hearts of Muslims.
The Grand Mufti warned the youth from the illusions caused by the thoughts and ideas of such deviant groups.
The attack on Imam Rida Mosque in Mahasen neighborhood in Al-Ahsa region of the Eastern Province killed four and injured 18 worshipers.
Saudi Arabia has been battling terrorism on its soil and abroad.
