DHAKA: A 35-year-old man allegedly killed 14 members of his family at their house near Thane in Maharashtra of India and then committed suicide early hours of Sunday.
Among the 14 killed are seven children and six women. According to Indian news agency ANI, the man allegedly killed them by slitting their throats after sedating them.
One woman of the family survived the attack and has been hospitalized, reports the NDTV.
The man was reportedly found hanging with a knife in his hand.
Police suspect property dispute to be the reason behind the murders.
