DHAKA: Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders won in the West Virginia primary on Tuesday (local time).
The win will force Hillary Clinton to continue a two-front battle that includes locking down the Democratic nomination and facing Donald Trump in the general election, reports the NY Times.
Hilary has a nearly insurmountable lead in delegates. However, Sanders’s victory in West Virginia, after winning in Indiana, kept his little hopes alive.
He also has vowed to stay in the race until the Democratic convention in Philadelphia in July.
In his victory speech, Sanders said, “We are going to fight for every last vote”.
He also attacked Republican front runner Donald Trump in his speech.
