DHAKA: Eight school children were killed and 12 others were injured in an accident at Kundapur area of India’s Karnataka on Tuesday (June 21).

The incident happened at around 8:00 am when a private bus and school van collided in the area which is 400 km from Bengaluru, reports the Indian Express.

According to local TV reports, the incident took place in Kundapur area in Udupi and the children belonged to Don Bosco High School.

The injured have been rushed to Manipal hospital.

The deceased children have been identified as Nikita, Ananya, Selista, Ansita, Alvita, Roysten, Delvin and Clarisha.
