DHAKA: At least six people were killed in two bombings carried out by the Islamic State (IS) in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
In the first attack a suicide car bomb exploded near a restaurant and shopping area in the central district of Karrada leaving more than 20 people injured in addition to those who died.
A second bomb which exploded later in a predominantly Shia area north of the capital caused several injuries, BBC reports on Sunday (July 3).
The bombings come a week after Iraqi security forces recaptured the city of Falluja from Islamic State militants.
