DHAKA: At least three people were killed and 13 others injured in an explosion rocked Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan on Saturday (November 12).
“It is not clear what caused the explosion or the nationality of the victims, the district governor of Bagram,” Haji Shokoor told CNN.
The NATO mission there said the explosion occurred just after 5:30am (local time) and that its force protection and medical teams responded.
The airfield is the largest US military base in Afghanistan and is located next to the ancient city of Bagram, southeast of Charikar in the Parwan province.
Bagram is located more than 30 miles north of Kabul, the nation’s capital.
